S.H. Henderson Died Early Sunday Morning
Death Claimed Mr. Henderson While He Peacefully Slept at Home
Funeral services for S.H. Henderson, who died at his home on South Street [Talladega] early Sunday morning were conducted from his late residence Tuesday morning, February 2nd at 10:00 o’clock and was followed by interment in Oak Hill cemetary (sic). The services were in charge of Dr. J.M. Thomas pastor of the First Baptist church of which Mr. Henderson was a member, assisted by Rev. A.C. Ormond.
The active pallbearers were Dr. S.W. Welch, J.K. Dixon, M.N. Manning, W.H. Boynton, R. Heine, R.M. Jemison, Judge S.C. Oliver and H.L. McElderry. The honorary pallbearers were composed of the physicians of the county, Mr. Henderson’s associates and employees in business, proprietors of the city drug stores and the Board of Deacons of the First Baptist church.
No more shocking death has ever occurred in the city than that of Mr. Henderson. In good health and the best of spirit Saturday evening, early Sunday morning he was found dead in bed at his home on South street as the result of heart failure. When his lifeless body was discovered between seven and eight o’clock, it was apparent that he had only been dead a short while and that he had passed out without a struggle. Of his immediate family Mr. Henderson is survived by Mrs. Henderson who was Miss Zada Burr, two daughters, Mrs. H.O. Dumas of Texas, Mrs. M.W. Otey of Clearwater, Fla., and one son, S.H. Henderson, Jr. of Vidalia, La. His mother, Mrs. Jane Henderson of this city and three sisters, Miss Mamie Henderson of Shreveport, La., and Miss Carrie and Nan Henderson of Talladega also survive.
S.H. Henderson was a native of the city of Talladega, the son of the late R.M. Henderson. He was born in Talladega, December 25th, 1861 and all his life had been spent here in the same line of business, that of a druggist, in which he succeeded his father. The business of which he was the head, was one of the oldest and most honorable in the state of Alabama.

A Bill has been filed in the Circuit Court of Talladega County, Equity Docket, against you by Annie Bell Marshall alleging certain grounds of Complaint and it appearing by the affidavits to said bill that you are a non-resident, and over twenty-one years of age, and reside at Columbus, Ga.
The Register hereby orders p0ublication of these facts, and this order in this newspaper, and requires you to answer or demur to the said bill before the 31st day of March, 1926.

Thomas Knight Hurt In Auto Accident
Thomas M. Knight, a brother-in-law of Miss Lavinia Riddle of Talladega and a former resident of Talladega was seriously injured in an auto accident in St. Louis Tuesday according to word received by Miss Riddle this week.
Mr. Knight was hurt, it is stated when his car was struck by a fast interurban train.

Guard Post Erected
Strong guard posts within two strans(sic) of strong steel cable have been erected on the side of the road on the deep bluff at Oden’s Mill Pond, on the Sylacauga-Childersburg road.
The precaution is very timely, as this is one of the most dangerous curves on any road in Talladega county.

Fayetteville News
Mr. Walter Hutcherson has returned from Orlando, Florida.
We have been having some bad weather but think it will be better soon.
The school building at Fayetteville, is very beautiful since it has been completed.
Mr. Bert Zeigler, will graduate from High School at Fayetteville this year.
Fayetteville is progressing fine, speed linit 45 miles an hour.
Misses Eula and Eunice Riggins and Kelley Merrel of Fayetteville, was at the party at Mr. G.H. Hutcherson’s Wednesday night.
